Description

Description: Organic laurel leaf essential oil is derived from the leaves of the laurel tree (Laurus nobilis) through steam distillation. The yield ranges from 1 to 3%.

Specific Characteristics: The organic laurel leaf essential oil is a light yellow to yellow liquid. It has a fresh, sweet-spicy aroma with a light camphor note. The main component is 1,8-cineole. Other compounds found in smaller concentrations include linalool, pinenes, limonene, eugenol, and methyl eugenol.

Applications in Cosmetics: Traditionally, organic laurel leaf essential oil is used in natural medicine for digestion, as it is said to have antispasmodic and analgesic effects. Organic laurel leaf essential oil is also claimed to have antibacterial and antiseptic properties, making it suitable for use in products for acne-prone skin, acne, and even psoriasis.

Due to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties, the cosmetics industry also uses organic laurel leaf essential oil in its products. Given that it has a revitalizing, nourishing, and slightly moisturizing effect, it is suitable for creams, facial tonics, or oils for the care of stressed, dry skin that is transformed back into fresh and tender skin.

In aromatherapy, organic laurel leaf essential oil is said to help address a lack of ideas and mental motivation.

Applications in Food: Organic laurel leaf essential oil can be used as a flavoring for preparing soup and liqueurs. The taste pairs well with soups, stews, as well as meat and fish dishes. Pickled vegetables (cucumbers) and fish also benefit from the spicy aroma of laurel.

ATTENTION: ALWAYS use diluted in a carrier oil or other solvent.
