Description: The organic essential oil of Hierobotanus is obtained from the leaves and flowers of the Sage plant (Salvia sclarea) through the process of steam distillation. The yield of essential oil from the plant mass is low, reaching only 0.1%.

Specific characteristics: Organic Hierobotanical essential oil is a yellow and sometimes greenish liquid. It has a fragrant, spicy aroma accompanied by lemon notes. The essential oil is easily dissolved in alcohol (1:3, 90% ethanol), vegetable oils and essential oils. It is almost insoluble in water. The main constituents are linoleic acid and linalool. Geraniol and limonene are present in smaller concentrations. The ingredient Sclareol is responsible for the amber-like smell.

Applications: The components of organic essential oil from Hierobotan have medicinal properties. Hierovotan was one of the most important sacred plants for the Celts. Wine and other beverages were flavoured with it and received an additional stimulating effect. The ingredient Sclareol has a structure similar to that of estrogen and recent studies have shown that Jeroboil oil acts similarly to hormones. For this reason it stimulates menstrual bleeding and can be used for amenorrhea (absence of menstruation), premenstrual symptoms (PMS), dysmenorrhea and in pre-menopausal discomfort. As an application, massage, bath oils, and scented candles have proven to be good ways. In cases of PMS spasms, Organic Verbena essential oil also has antispasmodic effects. For varicose veins, hemorrhoids and circulatory disorders, Hierobotan oil can have a positive effect on the vascular system when applied as a patch or bath oil.

In aromatherapy, organic Hierobotanus essential oil is used to soothe the central nervous system after nervous fatigue or general nervousness. It causes a strong euphoria in depressed mood or postpartum depression. At the same time, organic Hierobotanus essential oil reduces stress (anxiolytic) and soothes general anxiety and tension. As an application, massage and aromatic candles and bath oils are recommended.
