**Special Characteristics:** Organic Myrtle essential oil is a greenish-yellow liquid with a characteristic spicy aroma accompanied by notes of camphor and eucalyptus. It dissolves easily in alcohol (ethanol), vegetable oils, and other essential oils, but it is almost insoluble in water. Its main constituents are geraniol, linalool, and limonene.

**Applications:** The components of organic Myrtle essential oil have medicinal properties. In ancient Greece, Myrtle and its extracts were used by physicians to treat respiratory and urinary tract infections. Recent studies have shown that organic Myrtle essential oil has strong expectorant action. Therefore, it is used for bronchitis and sinusitis through inhalation and massage. In cases of acute inflammation of the prostate (prostatitis), organic Myrtle essential oil acts as a decongestant when used by the method of compresses, massage, or as a bath oil. Against infections caused by Staphylococcus or Candida, organic Myrtle essential oil is antimicrobial and can be used as an ointment and bath oil. When incorporated into cosmetic products, organic Myrtle essential oil has a toning effect on the skin, thus helping to combat wrinkled skin and acne.

In aromatherapy, organic Myrtle essential oil is used because it helps with sleep disturbances due to its calming effect. Additionally, organic Myrtle essential oil is also anxiolytic and can be applied generally against anxiety and mild depression.
